Originally from South Africa and in Ireland over 14 years. Fitness was a hobby and interest while working in hospitality and retail management neither of which made me happy.
One thing led to another and I was unemployed and decided to go solo, toughest decision yet, the unknown.
I studied and qualified while teaching classes, no better learning than on the job, much the same as John Kavanagh did (Conor McGregor coach).
Training out of Maximum Results, Corrib Boxing Club and now Fittsteps Training.
Strength to strength(no pun intended).
My passion within the industry would be weight management as well as strength and conditioning for sports, mainly martial arts. Of course healthy eating and living is a given, it should be a lifestyle choice not a forced chore!
My motto is Progression and not Perfection. Be better tomorrow than you were today and you won't look back.
I'm 35, Mum of 3 girls, began my fitness journey may 2013 after deciding to loose weight when I weighed in at 95kg..joined the gym and did my very first class and fell in love with how dance made me feel...I tried a few more classes and as the weight began to come off I realised just how good exercise made me feel and I wanted to continue to learn and develop my knowledge and help otherd. my love of zumba, and kettlebells drove me to wanting to teach others and I began fitness training in Feb 2014 when I became a licenced zumba instructor, later in the year I began my gym instructor course and on completion of that I began my kettlebell instructor and coaching courses. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family, socialise with friends, develop my classes.and take new trainings to further my career and I also love to compete in Girevoy Sport which is a kettlebell sports training.
I am a qualified Zumba fitness instructor. I fell in love with this program years ago. Zumba is "exercise in disguise". Anybody no matter what age or fitness level can enjoy an hour of dance, exercise and fun while burning calories, making you happy and giving you an escape from the everyday routine. I am also currently studying fitness and nutrition and will very soon be qualifies for more exciting classes. As a mother of three young kids I really understand how hard it is to find time for yourself but even more so how important it is to stay fit and healthy so our kids can follow our example.
